This excellent cage has been professionally designed
primarily for animals such as ferrets where a strong chew proof
cage is required. It is also recommended for all rodents, including rats and
chinchillas.
This wire cage is also ideal for chicks, a brooder bulb
can be suspended above the cage to make a self-contained poultry brooder unit.
Please note that the base is narrow mesh with a dropping tray under. It is
recommended that for chicks, card is placed on top of the wire to prevent injury
to chicks legs.
In particular it is designed to be easy to erect
making it ideal for shows and travel. When erected it is 36” x 26” x 16”. click

very large cage which is raised and castor mounted for ease of use, being
38" high, the cage area being 32" x 22" x 24" in height.
Supplied flat pack this top quality pet home is raised and mounted on castors
for ease of movement. The frame is powder coated steel

It is supplied with a spanner for easy self assembly.
It has a deep slide out heavy duty plastic tray for easy cleaning and a double

This home is

This all metal cage has no plastic parts, so chewing will not be a problem.
The cage has three floors, with separate inwards opening doors for levels 1 and
2 and access through the hinged roof for level 3. The dimensions are 42” high,
17” wide and 27” long ( approximately 5 cubic feet), and the gross internal
floor space is approximately 10 sq ft. This makes it ideal at giving adequate
living space where room is at a premium. This cage should be great for up to three
medium sized rats.
The cage is 2cm x 2cm, the wire mesh floors are 1cm x
1cm.
This single version is like the top tier of the
cage above with a climbing platform and ramp.

Designed
for ferrets and excellent for rats and chinchillas. This all
metal cage has no plastic parts, so chewing will not be a problem. Access is
by the top which is hinged. The cage is a two tier cage. The tray is 7 cm deep.

The
dimensions are 36cm high, 44cm wide and 70cm long.
The cage is constructed from metal throughout including the base. The mesh
is aprox 2cm square. The floor and upper tier are made from 1.25cm mesh allowing
droppings to fall through to the metal base. The floor lifts out for easy
cleaning, and when removed the cage can be used for smaller animals.
We recommend this cage also as an isolation cage when required, as well
as being suitable for use in the car.
Care for rats
You will need to clean the cage out once a week, and many
breeders recommend daily spot cleaning to remove urine saturated bedding and
faeces.
Your rat should be given extra material for nesting, we suggest torn paper or
rags.
Rats are active and intelligent. They can turn any object into a toy and will
make good use of any extra climbing materials you provide, from empty cereal
packets to PVC pipe fittings. So make sure that you are always introducing
semi-indestructible entertainment items !
Food is best served in a heavy ceramic dish which should be washed with soap and
hot water when you change the bedding. And make sure that you supply your rats
with a hanging water bottle too.
Rats have very sensitive ears so the best place for the cage is a room with
decent foot traffic but no excessive continuous noise. Keep the cage away from
drafts and direct sunlight.
